The remaining balance of $4320.00 is due by 36 weeks gestation. Payments of no less then $200.00 must be paid at each prenatal visit until paid in full by 36 weeks or sooner. If this financial agreement is not met, the midwife cannot guarantee her services at the time of birth. Insured Woman's Ways does not accept any private insurance accept Health First. Only Medicaid clients who live within 20 miles of the office of Woman's Ways will be accepted into care. All other parties interested in hiring Pam Peach as a Midwife must pay the $4,800.00 cost for services by 36 weeks gestational age, as outlined under Fees and Payment. Pam Peach will assist any clients interested in billing their insurance privately by offering any documentation requested by the insurance company. Leaving the Practice If, for and reason, the client leaves Pam Peach, Woman's Ways (other than an emergency transfer in the intrapartum period as described in the Hospital Transfers section) during the prenatal period or complications arise necessitating a physician-managed hospital birth, the fee paid to Pam Peach will be prorated based on services rendered to be equal to no less then $2,500.00. Hospital Deliveries While emergency hospital admission during pregnancy, labor, or postpartum is rare for home birth clients, each client must make plans for financial coverage for potential in-hospital costs by 30 weeks (private insurance, Blue Cross or Medicaid). If a transfer to hospital occurs during labor itself, the client will be responsible for paying the entire fee of $4800.00 as it pays for LM skill and labor management. The physician and the hospital will each bill independently of Pam Peach. |
